Funded and prepared for the wildfire season

Victoria is a most amazing place, and sure as there's summer, wildfires will begin to run across our great state soon. This is a scary reality for Victorians, and we can't be complacent about preparation.
We're pleased to announce that the VOST has been fully funded for the 2015/16 season. Our workflow has evolved with the wisdom of past seasons under our belts. However, we can't take anything for granted and are prepared for the very dynamic environment presented by social media in emergency management.
Our funding is small, but this year we've bought a new laptop for Daniel. He's stretched the envelope of what can be done with portable devices, but there are some things that can only be done with decent computer. He has a good one at home, but is often working from his vehicle on the side of the road.
We're keen to welcome new volunteers. Our core team of Adam, Brad, and Daniel will be supported by Sarah again this year. Rose will be involved with animal management issues. We're ready.
This year is forecast to have an intensive fire season. We're anxious as always in the lead-up to the summer.
Please stay safe this fire season.
